Kentech Mexico entered into a contract with Dragados Industrial for the Main Civil Foundation Works associated with their US$ 250 Million CCR Platforming (Aromatics Plant).

This project was our first entry into Heavy Civil Works and comprised the excavation, compaction, installation of reinforced steel and concrete pouring for the 8 key foundation structures.

Initially contracted for this scope of works only, as a result of the quality of service provided, we were continually awarded additional scopes of works including completion of the main substation building, execution of pipe rack structures and foundations, underground duct banks etc., with the final contract scope being some 4 times greater than that originally contracted.

In addition to the above, we were awarded the electrical installation works associated with the project.  The scope of works includes MV and LV switchgear and transformers, cable tray, conduit and MV and LC cabling installations. Subsequently we were awarded a final contract on this project to provide the commissioning and start-up services.

In total across the three contracts we delivered over 1.35 million manhours without suffering a lost time incident.

On Tuesday 9th February 2021, we announced an agreement to acquire the oil & gas business of SNC-Lavalin’s Resources Division.

This business includes people and assets brought together through their acquisition of the Kentz and other energy services businesses. This transaction marks an exciting, ground-breaking development for Kentech to reinforce our position as a leading integrated energy services provider and introduces us to the renewable / clean power marketplace. We now move forward together with a global network of more than 10,000 professionals united by a commitment of common values and strong partnerships with clients from across the world.

By investing now, we are strategically positioning the company to take advantage of the next cycle of growth.

Our complementary businesses will join forces, creating a stronger offering across the full asset life cycle – from consulting to design and build, commissioning and start-up, through to maintenance, modification and turnaround, as well as decommissioning services.
