K2 Awards & Recognition

We understand that consistent, empowered choices to do things the right way is what makes health, safety and the promotion of the environment happen. We see our people making the right choices every day and know the importance of acknowledging them. The Cynthia Francis Life Improvement Grant is designed to do just that. The winner of our peer-nominated K2 Award and Recognition program is rewarded for delivering on the K2 Philosophy and demonstrating integrity in action. Nilo Ferolino, an Instrument Technician from Sakhalin Island, chose to use his grant to install solar panels on the roof of his house in the Philippines.

Giving & just causes

From helping to build an orphanage in Indonesia, to delivering food parcels to disadvantaged communities in Kazakhstan, our teams are encouraged to care, listen and contribute wherever we can. Our commitment to care and deliver means we also offer a ‘Sunshine Day’ to each of our employees. This is a day out of the year where they are encouraged to volunteer for just causes in their local community.

Health & wellbeing

We are family. This belief is the core central belief of our culture. We look after each other, care for each other and support each other. Trust, respect and empathy and treating each other as you would wish to be treated is the Kentech way. We are committed to cultivating mental health, strength and wellness in all forms through regular discussion, risk assessment, and strategic training.

We offer a professional Emotional Support service available via International SOS to all of our people and throughout 2020 will be focused on training a series of Mental Health First Aiders across all our operations.

Addressing the connectivity challenge

How do we ensure our culture and best practices are communicated and embraced by such a large, diverse and globally spread family? First, it helps that our culture is based in universally human principles that resonate across cultural and geographical boundaries. We then take advantage of progressive technology to connect our people all across the world. Our employee engagement app K²nectUs, powered by Workvivo, is a global communications platform that can be used on any mobile and in any language. It breaks down barriers, helps everyone communicate in real time, allows us to share information, experience and good practice, and promotes a spirit of unity and common purpose across the business.
