Duties and Responsibilities

  • Functional management of the commercial and cost personnel on allocated projects
  • Working with the team to maximize the commercial position on a project within the terms and conditions of the agreement to optimize the Company's commercial interests.
  • Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed across the project scopes of work by controlling the commercial project risk review and reporting process
  • Provide advice, assistance and guidance to the project teams on project specific contractual matters and the administration of client contracts; including preparing/coordinating formal correspondence with clients, up to and including any Claim preparations.
  • Reviewing and verifying site estimates for additional SOW for new and existing projects work
  • Coordinate and support periodic client and internal reporting
  • Ensure the invoicing on all allocated projects maintains the best possible cash flow, by maintaining an accurate Company CCS.
  • Support key commercial tendering activity including the review of Invitations to Bid Documents issued by Client, pricing of the commercial offerings and coordinating legal and insurance reviews
  • Manage and support the formulation and negotiation of project contractual claims.
  • Develop and sustain a professional working relationship with the Client, Project Team and internal support functions
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Project specific procedures that relate to contractual, cost and estimating administration requirements.
  • Develops and implements the commercial strategy for the company.
  • To provide expertise, resources and specialized commercial analysis systems to direct project/asset management and achieve performance results set out for Company's respective investments.
  • Directs commercial feasibility studies for all new venture In Country projects and work with other departments in economic analyses required for new venture approval and implementation.
  • Evaluates emerging projects and opportunities, performs data gathering, economic analyses, and financial analysis, including sensitivity studies, in order to assess and advance development and acquisition plans.
  • Works with Company key contributors on setting clear and actionable KPIs for performance management and project assessment.
Qualification and Experience

  • 15 yrs. experience in a similar O&G engineering role with regional experience or other overseas experience with industrial leaders.
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor
  • Willingness to learn new skills and to continuously improve skills, knowledge and understanding.
  • Leads by example in the understanding of safety as the absolute objective and conveys a passion for the delivery of quality services safely within Kentech processes and procedures.
  • Assumes the responsibility for communicating safety objectives into team goals, utilising Kentech and client material to communicate targets via presentations to team.
  • Actively promotes participation in HSEQ program, supporting education on HSEQ program elements e.g. Hazard Identification, Take 5 , Lone Worker Policy.
  • Draws on regional experience with HSEQ requirements of O&G companies to ensure client requirements are met when completing tasks.
  • Maintains safety of self and others.

  • Assumes responsibility for implementation of Project Level Process success.

  • Can effectively summarise and communicate large amounts of data for management review.
  • Efficiently and effectively manages resources (people, material, costs/funding, support) to accomplish goals efficiently.
